Your property now in Torrevieja ............... Torrevieja is one of the best known resorts on the Southern Costa Blanca. The name Torrevieja derives from the Spanish for "old tower". The town was, up until recent years just a small fishing town but has grown rapidly over the last 20 years. Torrevieja is lively and is very popular with Spanish holidaymakers as with North Europeans. The most popular area is the promenade, from the marina up to Playa del Cura along which there is a wide variety of bars, restaurants and ice-cream parlours, together with a daily "craft market" and excellent funfair.

Torrevieja has a great range of facilities including a brand new theatre, two new museums and its new Habaneras shopping centre is very popular with visitors. The water park Aquopolis is popular with the children. There are numerous beaches in Torrevieja such as Playa del Cura and Playa Los Locos, the biggest Torrevieja beach is Playa de los Naufragos.

Both Alicante and San Javier (Murcia) airports are approx. 30 minutes drive.

Within 30 to 40 minutes you can drive to enjoy the Spanish culture in towns like Cartagena, Orihuela, Murcia, Elche and Alicante. There are theatres, galleries, safari park, water slide parks. And only an hours drive away you can visit the massive theme park of Terra Mitica.
